Roman Sports: Roma intends to rent striker Calimuendo in the winter, and CEO Massara is very optimistic about him

According to "Corriere dello Sport" reports, Roma is considering renting and then buying Nottingham Forest forward Arnold Calimuendo in the winter.

Roma had a good start to the season, but the forward scoring ability has become a major shortcoming of the team. Of the two center players in the team, Dov Bik has only scored 1 goal so far this season, and Ferguson has scored 0 goals. Roma coach Gasperini had to arrange for Dybala to serve as a guest center. Roma needs to introduce a new striker in the winter, and "Corriere dello Sport" revealed that Roma's target is Kalimuendo.

The 23-year-old Calimuendo is a French forward. He played 34 times in Rennes last season and scored 18 goals. Nottingham Forest spent 30 million euros to buy Calimuendo this summer. However, Calimuendo has not been reused in Nottingham Forest this season. So far, he has only made 5 substitute appearances in the Premier League, totaling 65 minutes without scoring a goal. Clearly, Calimundo is not happy with his current situation and has alerted his agent to look for a possible new destination.

"Corriere dello Sport" stated that Roma does not have enough budget to buy Calimuendo in the winter, but Roma hopes to rent the player for 6 months with a first option to buy out. It is worth mentioning that Lina, CEO of Nottingham Forest Club, served as CEO of Roma Club in the past, and the two clubs have a good relationship. However, Nottingham Forest's new coach Dyche has just taken over, so all discussions about Calimuendo will be postponed until coach Dyche determines the player's position in the team.

Massara, the current CEO of Roma Club, worked at Rennes Club last season, so he knows Calimuendo very well and is very optimistic about the forward. The relationship between the two is good, which may promote the progress of negotiations. Moreover, Roma can participate in the European war and is willing to provide Calimuendo with more playing opportunities. However, "Corriere dello Sport" also pointed out that Roma coach Gasperini is currently more optimistic about Zirkzee's forward signing target, and Roma will also evaluate the possibility of loaning Zirkzee in the winter.
