The reason for the protest was related to the legal case surrounding Boateng. Although he was found guilty of assaulting his ex-partner in 2024, he was only given a warning after an appeal and had no criminal record. However, some fans remain opposed to his return.

Now, in Barcelona, ​​Boateng has the opportunity to focus on his training in an environment away from controversy and will stay in the city until November 30.
