Every body: Boateng obtained the B-level coaching license and showed up at the Barcelona base to learn from Flick s team

According to media reports, Boateng showed up at the Barcelona training base to learn from Flick's team.
Retired defender Jerome Boateng appeared at Barcelona's Sports City yesterday morning and attracted people's attention. EVERYBODY exclusively captured footage of the former player arriving at the training facility. According to this newspaper’s understanding, Boateng’s trip was not for training, but to start a learning journey with Hansi Flick’s coaching team.
After retiring last September, Boateng received permission to stay in Barcelona facilities for about ten days in order to observe up close the way the German coach works in Barcelona and understand the daily operations of the team.
In a video released by the club, Boateng can be seen greeting Robert Lewandowski, with whom he worked together for seven years at Bayern Munich. In addition, Boateng also had a conversation with Flick. Flick coached Boateng from 2019 to 2021 and led the team to win a historic six crowns in the 2019/20 season. Boateng's good relationship with Flick allowed him to experience this internal learning experience at Barcelona.
A few weeks ago, Boateng obtained his B-level coaching license and plans to complete several similar learning tours before January. The trip to Barcelona was one of them, and Flick naturally had no objections to it and was willing to help Boateng learn the daily operations needed to become a coach in the future. In the coming days, Boateng will integrate into the technical team as an observer to understand tactical preparations and the overall operation of the team.
This all happened after a similar visit to Bayern Munich was cancelled. Vincent Kompany had approved Boateng's visit, but the backlash from fan groups led to the club and Boateng himself deciding to abandon the plan. The reason for the protest was related to the legal case surrounding Boateng. Although he was found guilty of assaulting his ex-partner in 2024, he was only given a warning after an appeal and had no criminal record. However, some fans remain opposed to his return.
Now, in Barcelona, Boateng has the opportunity to focus on his training in an environment away from controversy and will stay in the city until November 30.
