Times of India: Barcelona legend Xavi competes for Indian coach, but the Indian Football Association has no money to hire him

The Times of India reported that Barcelona legend Xavi submitted his resume to compete for the new Indian coach.

Indian Football Association National Team Director Subrata Paul said: "Xavi's name is indeed on the roster. He applied to the Indian Football Association by email."

According to sources, the Indian Football Association Technical Committee is not considering adding Xavi to the final shortlist because his asking price is too high.

A member of the technical committee revealed: "Even if Xavi is really interested in Indian football and we can convince him to take over the job, we need a lot of money."

Previously, Xavi admitted that he would occasionally watch the Indian league because there were a lot of Spanish coaches there.
