Marca: Laporta and Nasser used scooters to attend dinner together

Marca reported that Laporta and Nasser attended the dinner together, showing the good and close relationship between the two.

Barcelona President Laporta attended the European Club Federation (EFC) dinner held at the Baths of Caracalla in Rome last night, with more than 600 guests present. Due to the late arrival of the Barcelona and ECA presidents, the dinner was postponed.

Nonetheless, the two chairs finally appeared on the scene and asked all the guests to move from the cocktail area to the tables in the tent. The entire venue is spectacularly decorated with more than 80 tables, concerts and tents, adding unprecedented color to the annual European Club Conference.

Due to a pro-Palestinian protest in the center of Rome, the road was blocked. Nasser and Laporta had to get off the bus early and walk for half an hour to the Baths of Caracalla.

The friendly relationship between the two even made them consider using shared scooters to travel together. In fact, when Laporta arrived at the hotel hosting the EFC annual meeting at around 2:30 that afternoon, the two had already demonstrated their close relationship.

Nasser and Laporta met in Rome to discuss the possibility of Barcelona joining the European Club Association (ECA). However, Barcelona are currently still closely linked to Real Madrid and the Super League, so breaking away will not be easy. Currently, Barcelona only participates in this European club meeting as an invited guest.

Obviously, Laporta is no longer hiding his relationship with Ceferin and the president of Paris Saint-Germain, which was clearly reflected in Barcelona's game against Paris Saint-Germain last week.

Atletico Madrid CEO Gil Marin is also one of the important figures who pushed Laporta to approach EFC. In an interview with EFE, he expressed the hope that the Barcelona president can join the club association family as soon as possible.
