Italian media: Udinese will be sold to a US fund this Friday for 180 million euros

According to the Italian Sky Sports citing Ansa, the sale of Udinese club in Serie A will be completed within this week.

The Pozzo family has been in charge of Udinese club for 39 years, but they are preparing to sell the club to a US fund, Guggenheim Partners. The two sides will have a final meeting in Luxembourg this Friday and officially complete the deal. Udinese club is priced at around 180 million euros, and it is not clear whether the Pozzo family will retain a minority stake in the club.

Guggenheim Partners Fund manages more than $349 billion in assets, and the fund CEO is Mark Walter, the owner of the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team and owns some stake in the Los Angeles Lakers and Chelsea clubs.
