German media: Newcastle quotation for Ekitic for 80 million euros, Frankfurt wants 100 million euros

German media sports1 reported that Newcastle quoted Ekitic for 80 million euros, but Frankfurt wanted 100 million euros.

SPORT1 exclusive news said Frankfurt received its first official offer to Ekitic on Monday. Newcastle offered a basic transfer fee of 75 million euros plus a floating bonus of 5 million euros, and famous reporter Romano also reported the news.

But the management led by Frankfurt sports director Kleschert has priced at least 100 million euros (including bonus terms). Although Ekitic has reached an oral agreement with Newcastle on personal terms, his contract with Frankfurt will last until 2029. Last season, he contributed 22 goals and 12 assists in 48 official games.

Frankfurt has recently signed forward Burcatel to fill the vacancy after Ekitic left the team if necessary.

As early as the end of the Bundesliga season, Klescher publicly stated: "If the player's development speed exceeds the club's expectations, we will release people as long as our requirements are met."

These remarks were regarded as the preparation for Ekitic's potential transfer. At that time, he made it clear that if he received a reasonable offer, he would consider releasing the French scorer.
