French media: Monaco midfielder Golovin is injured for one month and will be out of the Champions League vs. Bruges and Manchester City

According to French media reports, Monaco midfielder Golovin's injury was more serious than originally expected. The Russian international is reportedly likely to be out for a month and has missed the last round of the French Ligue 1 Monaco's 2-1 victory over Aussel.

After this game, Monaco head coach Xuter once said that Golovin did not play because of precautions. However, further examinations conducted this week revealed that there was a problem with the player's right thigh muscle and it could take several weeks to recover.

Last season in Monaco, Golovin ranked third in the expected number of assists per 90 minutes. In the 23-24 season, he and Takumi Minami ranked first in the league assist list, with two of them having 6 assists each.

Golovin will miss the first round away game against Bruges in the Champions League stage and the second round against Manchester City. The Russian midfielder is often affected by injuries and was also missing for a while last season due to ankle problems.

In the first four rounds of Ligue 1 this season, Golovin participated in three of them and they were all starters. But just before last Saturday's game against Ausselle, he suffered a new injury.
