Each Sport: Barcelona considers swapping La Liga home and away games with Valencia, or borrowing Girona home games

According to Daily Sports, due to the slow renovation of the Camp Nou Stadium, Barcelona is considering swapping home and away games with Valencia this season.

Barcelona home court Camp Nou Stadium is under renovation, but the construction progress is slower than expected and has not obtained an open stadium license from the local government. In the first three rounds of the La Liga, Barcelona's games were arranged to be played away, which is the official care of Barcelona when setting the schedule. However, in the fourth round of La Liga on September 14, Barcelona will play against Valencia at home, and the Camp Nou Stadium may still not be used normally.

In this case, Barcelona is already considering other solutions. Barcelona had considered using the Monteuke Olympic Stadium as a temporary home court in the fourth round of La Liga, which was also Barcelona's temporary home court last season. But Daily Sports noted that the Monteuke Olympic Stadium happened to be hosting a concert that weekend, so it was impossible to host Barcelona vs. Valencia at the same time.

Barcelona has two other options, the first is to borrow the Montilivi Stadium, home court of the Girona club, for the fourth round of La Liga. Although Barcelona and Girona are the Caté derby team, the two clubs have a good relationship, and Girona will challenge Celta away in the fourth round of La Liga, so they are willing to lend Barcelona home court at that time.

Barcelona's second option is to swap home and away games with Valencia this season, that is, the fourth round of La Liga was changed to home games at Valencia, and the 38th round of La Liga matches between the two teams were changed to home games at Barcelona.

However, Daily Sports pointed out that if Barcelona and Valencia swap home and away games, it may lead to other problems. First of all, since Barcelona's first three rounds of league games this season are away games, other teams have complained that Barcelona will have more home games in the sprint stage of the season, believing that this is beneficial to Barcelona. Secondly, it would also lead to controversy if the already determined La Liga schedule is changed just because Barcelona's Camp Nou Stadium is not ready.

At present, Valencia fans have been affected by this matter. In recent seasons, Valencia fans are very enthusiastic about going away games, and the away billiard tickets assigned to Valencia fans are always sold out. But now Valencia fans must wait for the final solution to the matter before they can determine how to arrange their itinerary.

Barcelona originally considered playing with some stands open at Camp Nou Stadium, limiting the number of fans on site to 27,000. But I am still not prepared yet, and there are still some construction debris on the stadium construction site, which may endanger the personal safety of the fans. Therefore, so far, the city has not issued a stadium opening license because it may even be criminally liable if serious consequences occur.
