Today the Spurs held a new season media day event, during which Wassel was interviewed.

Wassel said the Spurs have focused on one end of the field (i.e., the defensive end): "The core focus at the moment is defense. If we can successfully limit our opponents' scores multiple times, that's the key to our success."
